NEWS - Boys 2nd @ State!
Led by Sutton & Jackson, the Boys took their 3rd 1600 relay title in school history to claim the 2nd place trophy at State. Sutton ended up taking the 200m crown as well to add to his 6th place finish in the 110m hurdles and 4th in the 300m hurdles. Jackson was 2nd in the 400m and 4th in the 200m. Also taking gold in the 4x400 were Nick Ruiz & Oden Hatcher.
Kiona Hill set her personal best in winning the Jav on Thurs.

3-30 - Liberty Invite
A sunny day led to happy athletes and spectators for the Invite. With entries from 16 schools, this was the largest version ever and the LHS coaches, parent volunteers and athletes kept it running smoothly and on time
Sutton Flint continued has already stellar season in winning the 110H in a school record 14.57 and brought home gold in the 300H and 200M. Sutton broke the school records in the 200 & 300H earlier in the week. Callie Holmes was a double winner in the 400M & Triple Jump. Thomas Manson won the 3200 after a 4th in the 1600. Odin Hatcher set a pr to win the High Jump.

5-27 - State Day 3
Jackson had a busy day starting with 8th in the 100, 3rd in the 400 with a PR, 4th in the 200 and anchoring the 4x400 to 5th. Paige was 5th in the 400 before anchoring the Girls 4x400 team to 6th. Sutton took 4th in the 300 hurdles, Ben was 6th in the 800 and Kiona was 7th in the Javelin. The Boys tied for 9th place in team scoring.

5-25 - State Day 1
1 event final on Day 1 saw Ben run a PR in the 1600 taking 13th in 4:15.25, which would have been 4th in 4A and 2nd in 2A. Both Girls & Boys 4x400 teams advanced with the girls 7th seed and Boys 4th seed.

5-20 - District, Day 2
Jackson had another great day, taking the 200 win and bringing home the stick for the win in the Boys 4x400. Sutton was 2nd in the 200, 3rd in the 300H and also raced the 4x4. Ben took 3rd in the 800 with a PR and Jacob took 4th in the Disc. Thomas Manson had a huge PR to take 6th in the 3200 to move on to State.
For the Girls, the 4x400 team took 11 sec off their previous best to take 3rd. Kiona took 3rd in Jav and Paige was 5th in Triple.

Jackson Moffitt broke the 200 & 400 school records to lead the Boys in claiming the Kingco Crown. Sutton just missed the 110 hurdle record and re-broke the 300 hurdle record. Paige led the Girls with a 1st in Long Jump and 2nd's in Triple & the 400m before bringing it home in the 4x4.
Wed/Thur/Fri 5-3 ~ 5-5
Busy last week of the regular season with Thrower comp on Wed, ISD meet on Thurs and Twilight on Fri. Sun was shining for throws but rain returned for running & jumping. Lots of bests were recorded with all LHS runners getting PR's @ Twilight heading into Kingco.

Sat 4-29- Shoreline Invite
More PR's and a 2nd place team finish for the Boys on a sunny day. Jackson took home 4 medals, anchoring the state leading 4x400 team to the win, and taking 2nd in the 400 & 200 with a 7th in the 100. Paige jumped over 17' to take 2nd, then got a 4th in Triple and 4th in the open 400m. Sutton Flindt took 1st in the 300 hurdles and 8th in the 110 hurdles. Jacob Clay was 3rd in the Disc with Ben Archer 7th in the 800 to round out the medalists.

Other top 8 medal finishes were Freshman Sutton Flint taking home 3rd in the 300 hurdles with a new PR, Kiona Hill with 4th in the Javelin and Jacob Clay with 8th in the Disc.
