5-28-22 - State, Day 3
Day 3 saw cool rain with light wind, and more medal winning performances on the last day of State. Paige took a pause during the Long Jump to come in 6th in the 400m and then went back and took 4th in the Jump for medal #3. Anna went out fast in the 3200 and ran alone in 3rd for 6 laps, just missing her school record in the process to net the highest Patriot placing @ State. Mark also went out hard in his 3200, setting his PR for the 1600 @ 4:35 during the race as he ended up in 12th. Jacob came in 13th in the Disc and the Boys 4x400 team moved up a spot in the finals to come in 7th.

Cool, cloudy, a bit windy and some hard rain for Day 2. In the 2 finals of the day, Liberty had 2 podium finishers. Franklin shattered his personal best in the Javelin by over 8 1/2 feet to take 8th. Paige took 4th in the Triple Jump and came back to qualify in the 400m finals.

5-26-22 - State, Day 1
Cool & cloudy until the rains came started State 2022. Anna set a new PR for the 1600, running the fastest LHS time @ State to bring home a medal in 8th. Ethan was 19th in the Shot and Jackson caught MI on the line by .10sec to take the 8th and final spot for Finals in the Boys 4x400.

5-20-22 - District, Day 2
The weather was perfect for competing on Day 2 and Liberty athletes gave it their all. With the top 6 finishers qualifying for State, Nate started the action with a 6th in the 100. Ben was in contention for the lead in the 800 but was tripped from behind and missed the cut. Jacob Clay placed 5th in the Disc, Paige was 5th & Pablo 3rd in the 400 and Jackson was 6th in the 200. Paige went straight to Triple after the 400 and took 3rd before anchoring the Girls 4x400 who just missed moving on in 7th. The Boys took 5th in the 4x400 to move on and in the 3200, Anna came in 2nd and Mark was 7th in a personal best that met the automatic standard to qualify for State, bringing the total to 12 Patriots competing in Tacoma.

In the Pole Vault, Ella struggled as the gusts blew her around but still managed a 9' jump for an 8th place finish. Jackson moved on in the 200 & Nate in the 100. Moving on to State next week, Ethan took 6th in the Shot, Franklin was 4th in the Jav, Anna crushed the last lap and took home the win in the 1600 and Paige rode a tailwind to break the 2005 school record in the Long Jump, winning in 17' 11.5". Both 4x100 teams missed handoffs and did not advance.

Over 250 distance runners braved another day of rain, a 1st for the Twilight. Despite the heavy rain at times, almost 80% of field had a Personal or Season's best. Pix of the meet provided by Scott Knoblich

4-23-22 - Eason Invite
The sun was out all day and the winds stayed away leading to medal performances and Season's bests. Jackson Moffitt took two 3rd place medals, 4x100 & open 200. Also on the 4x100 were Nathan Moffitt, Lucas Phillips & Jacob Antin. Also taking home 2 medals was Paige Bajsarowicz, 3rd in LJ & 4th in TJ. Anna Grabowski was 5th in the 1600 with a season's best.

It stayed sunny & calm for the 1st meet back from Break with lots of PR's seen. The Boys 400relay team moved up to a tie for Kingco leaders and Ben Archer added top mark in the 800. Paige won all 4 of her events, coming from behind in 4x200 & 4x400's.

A little of this, a lot of that! Sunny @ LHS gettting on the bus, unload into heavy rain, sun, rain, less sun, more rain and then for the 3200, calm with great racing capped by 4x400 wins by Boys & Girls teams.

Some days it's actually sunny & warm! With a short week, Paige came to jump, breaking 37' in the Triple Jump to lead WA state girls (all classifications) in Week 2. Jackson Moffitt raced to #3 in 3A boys for the 200 and Mark broke 10min in the 3200 for the 1st time to rise to #3 in 3A. With the addition of PV results from Thurs. (thanks Lacey & Ella) the girls squeaked out a win in the team race.
