10-15 - With both teams enjoying the last dual meet of the year, Mercer Island out-tempoed the boys to win 29 ~ 30 with the girls taking revenge winning 25 ~ 30. The rain stopped before course set-up and Seniors were recognized before the races.
10-11 - Led by Seniors Sarah Bliesner & Trevor Sytsma, the Girls were 8th overall & Boys 10th overall at the Hole-in-the-Wall Invite. Trevor had a personal best for 5K in taking 14th place, trailed by Andrew Cooper in 15th.

10-4 - The trip to Yakima for Sunfair produced mixed results. With the course running slower than 2013, times were comparable to 5K races run so far this year. Running all 7 flights, the boys were 14th overall (39 teams scored) and the 1st 2A team. Top improvement came from Nick Siefgfried. Top performance came from Tyra Christopherson.
10-1 - The Boys ran controlled races and came away with their 1st dual meet win @ Kelsey Creek Park, beating Bellevue 26 ~ 29 on the revised Kelsey Creek course that was more challenging than past layouts. 9-24 - Liberty hosted Jaunita @ Marymoor Park in a race that saw Junior Andrew Cooper break 16:00 on the fast and flat 5K course, winning in 16:52Sarah Bliesner ran her fastest time of the year to take 1st for the Girls. The current XC poll lists the Girls in #2 and Boys @ #7.
9-20 - The Girls had their highest team finish with 3rd place overall at Ft. Steilacoom.
9-17 - The 1st dual meet was held @ Robinswood Park against Interlake. With Ft. Steilacoom coming up, the teams worked to group runners in packs and run together. The Boys fell to Interlake with the Girls taking home the win by going 2 ~ 6.
9-13 - Running up in Bellingham for the 1st time in XC, the girls came away with a 3rd place team finish and the boys were 8th. Both teams were missing one of their usual top 5 runners so the results were a little lower than they might have been.
9-11 - Posting the fastest Liberty time of the day, Trevor Sytsma won the Senior div. of the Kingco Jamboree. Also winning their div. was Brigette Takeuchi for Soph girls. Sarah Bliesner posted the fastest time for the Girls in taking 2nd in the Senior race. State Meet 2013 was a day of highs and lows. With the 2 best teams in Liberty history taking the line, expectations were high and both the Boys & Girls ran great races to end the regular season. With a team avg of 19:41 compared to 2012's 20:00, the girls were still 11pts out of 4th in 6th place, led by Brigette's outstanding personal best 18:31 for 4th overall. With Sarah struggling with a leg injury (Update 11-21 - Stress Fracture in her shin - ouch), everyone else came through with an effort that would have netted 3rd place the year before. Amy had her race of the year to cap her senior season as the squad returns 6 for next year.
With their 1st trip as a team, the Boys ran strong to take 9th with Aaron the 1st Liberty boy to crack the top 20 in 19th, just missing a trip to Borderclash with Brigette. Collin's 27th also outdistanced any prev. Liberty state performance. All 4 of the Dist. 2 boys teams finished in the top 10 again this year.
