Track News:

 Track banquet is Tues, June 12th @ 6pm in the Commons. Last names A-H should bring a salad or side dish, last names I-P, please bring a main dish and if your last name begins with Q-Z, please bring a dessert.  Remember to bring a serving utensil for you dish!  If there is a particular dish you would really like to bring, you can switch categories.

Please put your clean uniform in a bag with your name clearly shown outside or inside and turn in to Coach Foote asap!

Liberty T&F handbook

STATE -
Day 3 - 3rd place finishes marked the day with the Boys 4x400 team running their seasons best 3:24.55 and Luke Knoblich dropping over 7 sec for a huge 9:20.78 PR in the 3200.  The girls also ran a seasons best 4:05.64 for 6th.  Medalists on Sat. included Cameron Nelson, 7th in the 100, Andrew Ha 6th in the 300H and the Boys 4x100 team in 6th.  The Boys finished 8th overall with the Girls in 23rd.  Unable to attend State Fri or Sat was Bryan Le who won the State Title in Doubles Tennis as the Fall sport has it's Tourney the same weekend as Track.
Day 2 saw Brooke Ury run 15:25 to take 4th in the 100 hurdles, breaking the school record after jumping 1 ft. longer than her previous best in the Triple Jump to take 8th.  The Boys 400 relay team, Cameron Nelson (100M) and Andrew Ha (300H) advanced to Sat. finals.
Day 1 - Calvin Brindle took 3rd in the Long Jump, Luke Knoblich was 6th in the 1600 and both the Boys & Girls 1600 relay teams qualified for Saturday finals.

5-18-18 - Dist., Day 2 - The Boys took the District title by 1pt after winning the 1600 relay and Arthur Adair throwing a season's best 154' in the Jav as the meet ended.  Brooke lowered her PR in the 100H to take the Dist. title and Bryan Le ran a PR in the 200 for the only other win in the finals.

5-16-18 - Dist, Day 1 - The Boys 400 relay team broke the school record again by taking the win in their heat on opening day of District.  Calvin Brindle set a PR winning the Long Jump while Brooke Ury set a PR taking 3rd in the Triple Jump.  Luke Knoblich broke his 1600PR in placing 2nd.

5-11-18 - Subs, Day 2 - The Boys won the Sub-Dist crown easily with the Girls besting Cedarcrest by 9pts to claim the win as well.  Andrew Ha, Brooke Ury & Bryan Le were all double winners for Liberty.

5-9-18 - Subs, Day 1 - Calvin Brindle led Liberty with a win in the Long Jump, tying his personal best as the post-season began.  Brooke Ury won the Triple Jump with a PR to lead the Girls.  Taking 2nd's were Luke Knoblich in the 1600 and Sonja Gunderson in the High Jump (3rd in the Triple as well).

5-4-18 - Sammamish @ Liberty - Parents and athletes gathered to recognize the 20 Seniors on the 2018 roster at a pre-meet ceremony.  Lots of PR's were set in the throws/jumps/track as LHS athletes aimed to qualify for Sub-District's.  Thanks to all the support for a great season as the Boys go undefeated and the Girls picked up another dual win.

4-28-18 - Shoreline Invite - Calvin & Luke led the team with strong performances under a constant drizzle.  Cal was 5th in the 200 and anchored the Boys 4x200 team to 2nd, while Luke ran a 11sec PR in the 3200.  Kailee & Hunter ran PR's in the 800 & 400 to lead the Girls.

4-27-18 - Hoka Liberty Twilight - Perfect weather, Great racing under the lights, PR's for Alex, Ritvik & Gabe in the 1600.  Pix on Liberty Distance.

4-26-18 - Juanita & MI - The Boys remained undefeated with a solid effort under warm, sunny skies @ Juanita.  The Girls also were double winners.

4-21-18 - Eason Invite - No rain or snow this year led to some new PR's for LHS.  Siri Christopherson took almost a minute off her 3200 running 11:48 with Luke Knoblich in the 1600 and Alex Hartford in the 3200 shaving off 2 seconds each on their previous bests.  Hunter Kipheart added another 2' to his best with a 42' 5" throw in the Shot.

4-7-18 - Arnie Young - Andrew Ha won the 300H with a PR and Luke Knoblich was 2nd in the 3200 with a PR as well to lead the Patriots on a rainy, windy Saturday.  Despite the weather, a number of LHS runners recorded personal or season's best @ Renton stadium.

4-5-18 - Mercer Island @ LHS - With no wind, the rain didn't slow down the action as there were lots of personal and season's bests recorded.  Calvin & Brooke were double winners on the day as the Boys went to 4-0 for the season.

3-31-18 - Liberty Invite #19- Chris Hanson was named Athlete of the meet for the Boys, with a meet record in the 400, a 2nd in the High Jump and anchoring the 4x400 team (Calvin Brindle, Erik Phan, Caleb Carr, Chris) which broke the meet record.  The weather was perfect for great performances and the Boys 4x100 team of Erik Phan, Bryan Le, Jarod Roberson & Calvin Brindle started it off by breaking the school & meet record.  Cameron Nelson led the Girls with a 2nd in the 100 and 4x200.

3-22-18 - 1st Meet, Vs Redmond & Bellevue - Under rainy skies, the Boys took home 2 wins and the Girls defeated Bellevue @ Redmond.  Calvin Brindle had a big 1st day with 3 firsts and a 2nd to lead the Boys. Brooke Ury led the Girls with 2 firsts and 2 second places.
