News and Match Results

9/14 - The "Patriot Putters" hosted a successful fundraiser, challenging experienced male golfers to a putt-off. Participants and those who chose to spectate instead had a chance to win one of three baskets. There were bragging rights and hall of shame titles handed out all morning. Thanks to all who participated in this fun event.

4/17 - The Patriots won by the slimist margin possible, one stroke. Kudos go to Brandi with a 48, Hanna and Maddy, who shot a personal bests at 49 and 55. Others who shot under 55 were Taylor and Danielle.
Personal bests were achieved by Christine, Samantha and Gabby. That's some outstanding golfing ladies!

4/16 - After Spring Break, the Patriots returned to the course with Brandi and Danielle scoring 52; Christina had a personal best and team low at 50. Way to go!

4/4 - Taylor Woo had her best round this season yet at Wayne, shooting a 48. Nice going Taylor. Liberty posts a Win against Juanita with five players under 60 and others close behind. Brandi Petryk and Hanna Hanson contributed to point scoring. Sierra Carlson had a 5 stroke improvement from the previous tournament; Danielle shaved her score by 2. Continued next column.

3/27 - Congratulations to Brandi Petryk and Taylor Woo, who are currently placed in the top twelve in our league as a result of their performance against
Interlake on 3/25. Scoring a 47 and 53, respectively, is a great way to start the season off right. Go Patriots!

3/14 - Thursday, March 14th marks the
beginning of tournament season for Girls Golf. Liberty will host Mt. Si, Interlake and Mercer Island at our home course, Maplewood for
a preconference match.

This Week

Liberty Won Yesterday against Interlake 266-277. Krysta Dawson Tied for the Medalist Position with a 45 and Alex DuVall placed 3rd with a 48. Up next is Sammamish at Bellevue Municipal Golf Course on Wednesday.

Recent Matches...

Last week Liberty had three matches, winning 2 of the three. Liberty won the first match against Juanita by 30 strokes! Krysta Dawson was the medalist with a 44 and Alex Duvall placed second with a 45. On Wednesday, Liberty lost a close match to Bellevue at home. Alex Duvall was the medalist with a 44 and Krysta plaed second with a 45. Thursday's match was a win against Mt. Si in the pouring rain. Krysta had a second place finish, Kirsten solders placed fourth and Brandi Petryk finished 5th. Our league record is now 2-2, and for the season we are 6 -4. This week we have matches today (4/23) and Wednesday against Interlake and Sammamish.

Lady patriot golfers won their tri team match against Interlake and Mt. Si on Thursday, March 22 with a team score of 265. Alex DuVall was the match medalist with an outstanding 42. Hanna Hanson, Taylor Woo and Christine Chappelle also had great days and continue to improve.

Last year the Girls team took second place in league and sent 3 golfers (Krsta Dawson, Alex Duvall and Molly Culwell) to state!. We are retuning both Krysta and Alex as well as Senior Kirsten Solders and Junior Brandi Petryk. Sophmore Maddie Blair will aslo be back. We are very excited to be adding 4 freshmen this year, as well as a new senior. All of our new players have great athletic ability and are improving quickly.
