2019 Golf Season is Underway!

BoostersThroughout the year, there are many opportunities to earn money for Girls Golf by working concessions at various athletic/school events. We encourage all parents to join Booster Club and to volunteer when possible. For more information, contact Kim Plowman.
Maplewood Fundraiser PhotosLHS Girls Golf greatly appreciates the partnership we hold with the Maplewood Men's Golf Club. Through your generous support, you have provided opportunities that have been critical to our building the strong team we have today. Your encouragement, pride and rivalry on the practice putting green builds our confidence, commitment and dedication to this life-long sport. Thank you!

New to Golf?
Practices: Meet right after school in back parking lot to caravan to Maplewood Golf Course, Monday-Friday. Most days, players can be picked up around 4:30. We try to play as many holes on the course if the weather permits; players can text parents if pick up time is later. On very wet days, we practice on the driving range and putting greens, making pick up time more predictable.
Gear: Players should have their own clubs and be dressed in appropriate clothing/shoes for all weather. Adhere to dress code for golf; no low-cut shirts or short shorts. Players should have their own clubs and balls for course play/putting practice. Team bags are provided after tryouts. Range balls are provided. A more complete list of gear will be distributed to the players and discussed with parents at the Spring Sports Parent Meeting and via email.
Matches: Liberty provides bus transportation from school to the away matches and back; we car pool to home matches played at Maplewood. Sometimes the players need to leave 4/8th period early for tournaments. Players communicate with their rides home as bus returns to school or be picked up directly from the course.
