Patriots season comes to an end...Feb 9th, 2013 The Lady Patriots ended the 2012-13 season with a 43-54 loss to Holy Names in the first round of the SeaKing Tournament. The Patriots finish the year with a 13-11 overall record. Senior Delane Agnew led the team with 9 points in the final game of her high school career. Sophomore Danielle Demps contributed 8 points with Sophomore Cherelle Demps and Junior Sierra Carlson adding 7 points each. |

Patriots can't stop Rebels

The Lady Patriots settled for 4th place in the KingCo Tournament after falling 45-53 to the Juanita Rebels. The game was a rematch from their January triple OT contest won by Liberty.
The Lady Patriots take their 4th seed into the first round of the SeaKing tournament this Saturday in a loser out contest against the Metro 4th seed - Holy Names.

Patriots overcome by Wolverines

The Lady Patriots fell 38-63 to a dominate Bellevue Wolverines team in the second round of KingCo League Tournament. Sophomore Avery Granberg led the team with 12 points. The Lady Patriots will play Juanita on Thursday for 3rd place honors. Demps powers Pats past Cats

Sophomore Cherelle Demps had her best scoring performance of the season in Saturdays first round KingCo 3A basketball tournament action against the Mt. Si Wildcats. Demps 19 points led Liberty to a 52-42 victory along with a 9 point contribution from Senior Delane Agnew. The Lady Patriots move on to second round action at 7pm this Tuesday, February 5th for a rematch against the Bellevue Wolverines at Bellevue Community College. Lady Patriots fall to Bellevue

Hustle and intensity weren't enough for the Patriots as they were defeated 41-56 by the 4th ranked Bellevue Wolverines. Sierra Carlson led the Patriots with 11 points with Cherelle Demps adding 10 points and Ashlan Applegate adding 11 rebounds. The Patriots open the KingCo League Tournament with a loser out game against Mt. Si. The game is at Liberty this Saturday at 7:00PM. Come out and cheer the Lady Patriot's onto victory. The Lady Patriots couldn't contain the Islanders falling 33-44 in Tuesday's conference showdown. Heading into the game Liberty, Mercer Island, and Juanita were all tied for second place with identical 9-3 league records. Senior Delane Agnew's 9 points led the team with Sophomore Cherelle Demps contributing 7 points. The Lady Patriots complete their regular season at home Friday night against the 6th in state ranked Bellevue Wolverines. Pats take the 5th against Kangs!

The Lady Patriots rolled to their 5th straight with a 61-40 conference win over Lake Washington. Junior Sierra Carlson's sharpshooting resulted in 17 points with Senior Delane Agnew and Junior Ashlan Applegate adding 13 and 11 respectively. The win moves the Lady Patriots into a three way tie for second place heading into the final two games against Mercer Island (Tuesday) and league leading Bellevue (Thursday). Lady Pats roll to 4th Straight!

The Lady Patriots notched their 4th straight conference win with a 57-31 win over the Interlake Saints. Junior Ashlan Applegate's 14 points and 8 rebounds led the team with Sr. Delane Agnew adding 12 points. Trailing by 1 point at half, Liberty ratcheted up their defense and allowed Interlake to only score 3 total points in the second half. Next game is 7:30 PM this Friday at Lake Washington

Lady Patriots split pair in Wenatchee
12-28 and 12-29-2012
The Lady Patriots split their weekend away games against Wenatchee and Eastmont. Friday nights action saw Cherelle Demps lead the way scoring 15 points in a 49-44 over the Wenatchee Panthers. Adele Payant had 10 points for the Patriots in a losing effort to the Eastmont Wildcats Saturday afternoon. Carlson leads Pats past Wildcats

Sierra Carlson's 16 points and Alicia Abraham's 12 points helped the Lady Patriots overcome cold shooting in a 52-44 conference win against Mt. Si.. Rebekah Campbell added 9 points and a solid defensive effort. The Lady Patriots head to Wenatchee over the Christmas break for two non-conference games against Wenatchee and Eastmont on December 28th and 29th. Islanders defeat Patriots

The Lady Patriots could not overcome the Islanders balanced scoring and hot shooting and lost their second conference game by a score of 46-53. The loss drops the Lady Pats to 2-2 in conference play and to 4-4 for the year. Sierra Carlson led the Pats with 12 points followed by 9 points from Cherelle Demps, and 7 points from Avery Granberg. The Lady Patriots provided aggressive play and a balanced scoring attack in a 58-36 victory over the Sammamish Totems. Ashlan Applegate set the tone early with 11 of the teams 20 first quarter points on 4 for 4 shooting from the field and 2 for 2 from the free throw line. The Patriots were led by Delane Agnew with 15 points followed by Ashlan Applegate and Sierra Carlson with 13 points each. The win moves the Lady Patriots to 2-1 in Conference play and 4-3 for the season. Patriots march past Interlake

The Lady Patriots achieved their first conference win with a convincing victory over Interlake. Nine Patriots scored led by Sierra Carlson with 12 points, Adele Payant with 10 points, and Cherelle Demps with 8 points. Lady Pats succumb to Juantia in league opener12-7-2012

The Lady Patriots won their second straight with a 55-12 non-conference win over Hazen. The Patriots came out strong to take a 16-0 lead after the first quarter. Adele Payant led all scorers with 14 points. Patriots notch first win against Garfield

The Liberty Patriots girls basketball team lost Friday's home non-conference game against Eastlake by a score of 37-27. Ashlan Applegate led the Patriots in scoring with 7 points. Liberty Girls open the season with a loss to Newport 61-42. Strong inside play and good perimeter shooting proved too much for the Patriots to overcome. Ashlan Applegate led the Patriots in scoring with 9 points, Cherelle Demps added 8 and Rebekah Campbell had 6 points off the bench. |
